This Privacy Policy explains how Nypko (the service, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit nypko.com or use the photo-to-bead-pattern tool. Nypko is a personal project operated by an individual, not a company.
1. Information we collect
Nypko is operated by the operator of Nypko. We collect three categories of information: (a) information you give us — for example, the email Worldwide (online service) you use to contact us; (b) information we collect automatically — server logs, IP Worldwide (online service), user-agent, referrer, country-level geolocation inferred from IP, and approximate timestamps; (c) information stored on your device — we set a small localStorage key (pixel-craft-web:language:v1) to remember your language preference, and we may set analytics cookies (see §5). We do not collect the photos you upload for pattern generation: image processing happens entirely inside your browser and the images never leave your device.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to (a) operate, secure, and improve the service; (b) understand aggregate usage trends; (c) respond to your inquiries; and (d) comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the photos you upload for advertising or training of machine-learning models.
3. Sharing
We share information only with: (a) service providers that help us run the service (hosting, analytics, error reporting) under confidentiality obligations; (b) Amazon when you click an affiliate link (Amazon receives the click and may set its own cookies — see their privacy notice); (c) authorities when required by law. We do not share your information with advertisers.
4. Your rights
If you are in the EEA, UK, California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, or any other the operator’s country of residence with similar rights, you have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or portability of the personal information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, email privacy@nypko.com. We respond within the timeframes required by applicable law (typically 30–45 days).
6. Data retention
Server logs are retained for 90 days, then aggregated and anonymized. Analytics data is retained for up to 26 months in line with industry norms, then aggregated. Emails you send us are retained as long as needed to handle your request and to comply with our legal obligations.
7. Children
Nypko is not directed to children under 13 (or under the age required by your the operator’s country of residence, such as 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@nypko.com so we can delete it.
8. International transfers
We process information in the United States and the European Union. When we transfer personal information from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland to the United States, we rely on standard contractual contractual data-protection clauses approved by the European Commission.
9. Security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission over the Internet, however, is 100% secure.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will reflect the most recent change. Material changes will be announced on the homepage.
